About

QUISPE is a design practice exploring identity, territory, and materiality through a continuously evolving lens. Founded by Ricardo Quispe in 2020, the project emerges as an intimate act of reclaiming and free creation, inhabiting origins with contemporary sensitivity.

Inspired by the duality of its roots—the highlands and the jungle—QUISPE develops a sensory and symbolic language that moves between clothing, sculpture, and ritual. Its pieces, crafted with chambira fiber, natural dyes, and handmade techniques, celebrate ancestral rhythms while resisting industrial logic.

Based in Lima, Peru, the brand closely collaborates with local workshops and the Amazonian community of Pucaurquillo, fostering co-creation and cultural dialogue through design. QUISPE is a living, nomadic manifesto that challenges imposed narratives, activating new forms of creation grounded in reciprocity, sustainability, and collective memory—connecting past, present, and future.
